If you have not yet attended a meeting at the local Portland chapter of the American Payroll Association, I suggest you check it out.

Monthly meetings are held the third Wednesday of the month. Speaker topics range from Oregon Minimum Wage increase effective July 1, 2016, Overtime and Recordkeeping and Affordable Care Act.

The meeting fee is $25.00 for members and $35.00 for non-members. Breakfast begins at 7:30am to allow networking time. Speakers start at 8am and finish at 9am so you can get to work. Annual membership dues are $60.00 for July thru June.
